Spiced Apple Raisin Oatmeal

Ingredients:

  • 1 packet oatmeal (reduced sugar or protein)
  • 1 cup applesauce (unsweetened)
  • ½ cup water or milk
  • 1 box raisins
  • A dash of cinnamon (optional)
  • A tablespoon of honey (optional)
  • Apple slices (optional)

Cooking Steps:

Microwave:

  1. Combine ½ cup water or milk (cook’s choice) with one packet of oatmeal & stir well
  2. Microwave for 1 minute, remove, and stir
  3. Microwave for another minute and remove
  4. Mix in one cup of applesauce
  5. Sprinkle raisins on top
  6. OPTIONAL: add a dash of cinnamon, a tablespoon of honey, and apple slices on top
  7. Enjoy!

Boiling Water/Milk:

  1. Empty one packet of oatmeal into a bowl
  2. Mix in ½ cup boiling water or milk (cook’s choice)
  3. Let it sit for one minute
  4. Mix in one cup of applesauce
  5. Sprinkle raisins on top
  6. OPTIONAL: add a dash of cinnamon, a tablespoon of honey, and apple slices on top
  7. Enjoy!
